"The barn will forever hold a very sacred and special place in mine and my husbands hearts. We couldn't have picked a more magical place to have had our beautiful wedding this past weekend. Everything was absolutely breathtaking. The owners Dillon and Carly along with the managers Barbara and Evan were absolutely awesome to work with. The property is amazing. The stay was more than luxurious yet had the rustic touch we were looking for. We highly recommend this venue for your wedding or special event. "In case you haven't heard about it, the Barn at Valhalla is a sweet little venue just miles from downtown Chapel Hill. I attended an open house this past Sunday and was blown away at all the improvements they have made since my last visit. The new upstairs bridal suite is AMAZING. Completely remodeled by pottery barn, the rooms are luxe and inviting (honestly, I wanted to move in!). In addition, I met some wonderful people, ate some delicious food, and drank several glasses of incredible vino. This place is top notch. Sweet, rustic, beautiful, yet totally unpretentious- this is the perfect location for just about any event. "This place is a hidden gem in Chapel Hill! The barn has a beautiful view of a small lake, and the whole area looks lovely at night when it's lit up with white lights. Though it's a barn, it's far from what you might picture with hay bales and fork lifts-- the main area is a great finished space with plenty of room for dancing, and there's the option of seating outside or inside-- we held cocktail hour outside and all of the youngsters enjoyed playing outside during the reception. Upstairs, the barn has a bunch of guest rooms that have been beautifully decorated, and the bathrooms are impressive-- no detail is overlooked. And the staff was very helpful and personable-- Dillon was great in making sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for helping us have such a wonderful wedding!!" - Lindsay P.
"My sister got married at the Barn at Valhalla last month. It was such a beautiful and wonderful experience. We were able to be on the property from Friday-Sunday. It was so nice to be able to stay at the venue the night before and the night of the wedding. The barn was beautifully furnished and the bridesmaids had more than enough space to get ready for the day of the wedding! The main house was a great event space for the rehearsal dinner and a cool place for the groomsmen to hang out and get ready before the ceremony. The property as a whole made this weekend so special for my sister and our entire family. The lawn was the perfect backdrop for the wedding ceremony and wedding photos. Having dinner in the tent was a great addition to the party space in the barn. Again, I cannot say enough about how awesome it was to not have to travel for any part of the wedding weekend. The owners were extremely helpful and definitely added to everyone's positive experience!! I did not want the weekend to end because I did not want to leave this beautiful property!" -Caitlin D.
